Government Franchise Model; taking it virtual

Our government is set up like a modern day franchise. Let me explain: the Federal government is the franchisor run by three sets of committees (board of directors of divisions).

Whose Afraid of the Government; Whose the Government Afraid of?

We need a government that can be as responsive to our needs and to use the technology available to serve us better. Yet often our government feels threatened by those companies who move in the market place at lightning speed.

Why Can't We Have a More Responsive Government?

The great people of the United States of America deserve and should have a more responsive government. What is the problem; we are the government; so why are we holding ourselves back? Let's get busy and get it done.

Faith in Our Government

Many have lost faith in the government and are completely afraid that no one there has a clue as to what they are doing. Others have complete faith.

Government is a Franchise System; just not a very good one

Few understand the Franchising Format and even fewer have correlated that to our modern government structure. The United States Government is set up much like a franchising system.

George Bush and the Iraq War - Down on Downing Street

You, the reader, should be aware of my affluence of love for literature in all its forms, for instance: the novel, the novella, the short story, the poem, and the comic strip - which, in its own right, is a literary and creative milestone tantamount in importance to Shakespeare. However, without doubt, one of my favorite genres of literature is: the memo.

The British Sikh Army

Britain has a proud tradition of valiant armed forces and a capable military which has managed to defend these isles effectively for hundreds of years. British Military achievement is well known throughout the world and the bravery and versatility of its soldiers, seamen and airmen is unquestioned and forever stamped in history.

Fair Trade and Pearls in the U.S.

Guides for RetailersThe regulations about marketing pearls are listed in the FTC's Guides for the Jewelry, Precious Metals, and Pewter Industries. The guide is very specific about what retailers should call a pearl.

Belly Full of the Clintons [Political View]

As I read the papers and watch the news day after day after day, and listen to the debates on what we Americans should do with Iran and North Korea, as if we were the only ones involved, yet as always the world will put their two cents in, and to be quite honest, that is all financially they will give, but for advise, like my neighbors, they will give a tone of it away free. Anyhow, I should get to my clout in my throat.

Workers

We have read about the unemployment rate being high. Really anything around six percent is pretty good and it is less than that now according to the statistics, but some politicians say it is terrible and others say it is reasonable.

The Irish Issue

The expertise and advancement of the evolution of man and his culture is evident in one area only - that of propaganda and lying. They have learned how to suck and blow simultaneously out of every orifice of their bodies.

Joseph Campbell - Permanent Human Values

At the start of the US involvement in WWII Joseph Campbell was put in the position of having to defend culture and truth rather than go along with the crazed nationalism and outright invasion of so many public institutions through all manner of propaganda. He ended up being accused of being a Nazi by many who should have known better.

How Does the US Congress Really Work?

Many people do not understand politics very well. They often blast their Congress Person for this, that and the other thing.

Monsanto Terminator Seeds

How do you feel about Terminator Seeds from Monsanto? I have determined that I am in favor of Terminator Seeds, having seen the complaints against it and the evidence for it. Also to curb the problem of GM seeds over taking the Natural Wild Seeds of rice, wheat, etc.

Adminstration of E-Business Taxation

The entry by telephone and cable companies into the Internet service provider business within the last few years has given new hope to the congestion problem in that they now have a vested interest in investing in infrastructure. The Internet connection and set-up cost are not inexpensive for every business; however, the competitive cost of not having it probably outweighs the financial cost of connectivity.
